All these tutorials can been found in the Xara Xone. The artist is the very talented Gary W. Priester.

Bulb (June 2001)

The Bulb - Jun 2001

Gary's background is much better than mine, but I think I did quite a good job of the bulb!

Stained Glass (September 2000)

Stained Glass - Sep 2000

This didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, though it's not bad.

Carved In Wood (May 2002)

Carved Wood - May 2002

This is nothing like the tutorial - I just couldn't get it right so deliberately did it different!

Pool (June 2003)

Pool Balls- Jun 2003

I really enjoyed doing this one. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn the cue ball round so the light is at the wrong angle!

New Mexico Christmas (December 2004)

New Mexico Christmas - Dec 2004

Another one that doesn't quite look like Gary's! Oh well. I think in the main I got it right. Have to say, rounding those corners off was damn hard work!!!!

Sportsgraph Watch (November 2004)

Sportsgraph Watch - Nov 2004

Wow! What an awesome tutorial! I've been putting doing this one off because of the level of difficulty, but it really wasn't so bad. Does need a lot of concentration though....

Beary Potter (September 2002)

Beary Potter - Sep 2002

I have no idea why I left this one until now - he's so cute! I did have a bit of trouble getting the fur brush right and had to re-do it a few times. Got there eventually though.

3D Clock (April 2005)

3D Clock - April 2005

A fun and interesting one to do this, as it combines Xara X with Xara 3D6 to get the 3 dimentional look. I had a bit of trouble getting the window highlight right and my wood background doesn't have quite the same depth as Gary's, but I don't think I did too badly!
