 I love art. My mother is extremely artistic and I'd like to think that at least some of that talent has been passed on to me. I will happily sit for hours at the computer playing around with graphics programs and will allow myself to become completely absorbed in creating just one piece of artwork. For the most part, it's how I relax. If I'm stressed or wound up about anything, after an 'arty' session on the computer I'm chilled and ready to tackle anything life might throw at me!

One of my loves is to create desktop wallpaper. I got into this because much of what's available over the internet just isn't big enough. I have a larger than average monitor so the majority of my wallpapers are designed around a 1600x1200 resolution. I will only upload 800x600 and 1024x768 versions because of the amount of webspace larger ones will take up, but you only need to email me if you want the full sized image.

Another thing I enjoy doing is working through Xara X tutorials. I love this program. It's so versatile and much cheaper than other 'better known' vector graphics programs. Thus far, I've only scratched the surface and have a lot to learn before I'll get full use of its capabilities, but it's a fun and interesting journey. Here, I will share my journey with you, including my mistakes as well as my successes, in the hope that I may inspire others to join me.
